What were Egyptian houses like? What do you know about the daily life of an Ancient Egyptian ?

  1. I studied Egyptian houses were made of mud, they were small and they did not have walls. Theirs daily life was getting wather and food, building houses and cooking.

  3. Daily Life: The ancient Egyptians were fansactians people. Homes: Flat room, cook, sleep, cook, run, small house, garden. Clothing: Men and women were clothing loincloth or short kill.

  4. Daily life in ancient Egypt revolved around the Nile and the fertile land along its banks.
    The people of ancient Egypt built mudbrick homes in villages and in the country.They grew some of their own food and traded in the villages for the food and goods they could not produce.
    Homes:The ancient Egyptians lived in houses made of bricks.The bricks were made of mud and chopped straw.They mixed the mud and straw and the poured the mixture into molds.The molds were placed in the sun to bake into hard bricks.
    The rich had about 10 rooms in their houses and the poorshomes had only one.A mixture of lime and water was used to white wash the walls of the richer homes.Some of richest homes had painted walls.They were often blue or yellow with colored ceillings.They had painted borders of ducks or lotus petals wich is a type of flower.The poors had floors made of beaten earth.The floor of the rich were covered.Some rich people had a room with an altar that was used for family workship of the gods.

  6. Egyptian houses were always close to each other, so they could have more space for farming. These houses were made of mud. The poor houses only had 1 room and the rich houses were very large.
    I know that the farmers farmed, that the scribes wrote information inside a shack, some slaves worked for nobel people, and others worked in markets.

  7. The Ancient Egyptian homes were made with mud,straw and white calcarium.The homes had stairs.The Pharaoh and goverment homes were bigger then the others.
    Ancint Egyptians chidren were completely naked.The men wore skirts,and the women wore dressed.
    Ancient Egyptinan families had to collect food and water every day.They also had to form and take care of their animals.
    Some people worked making sculptures,writing,making pots,painting and other jobs.
    Ancient Egyptians were not similar to us because they did not used cars and computers,and we do not biuld with mud.

  8. The Egyptians houses were made of mud,(that was taken from the Nile River). The houses were very close because the rest of the land was used for farming. The roofs were flat so the Egyptians used to cooking,sleeping,playing, and they were tall so they could keep the house cool.

    The Ancient Egyptians daily life was very busy.They worked all they long.The women were responsable for taking care of cooking,cleaning, the children and the water.The men helped the women and worked.

  10. Egyptians houses were very big and were made of mud and straw.In the back of the houses there wore stairs.Egyptians houses had front and back doors.Some rich houses were really next to the other houses.Ancient Egyptians houses had flat roofs,and Egyptians spent a lot of time there.
    What I know about ancient Egyptians daily life is that they worked a lot.Ancient Egyptiians were very busy.Some scribe people worked in the street and sculptures made sculputres for the temples.Some people went to the Nile River to get water that was so important for them.

  11. The Egyptian hoses of the poor were very little and almost attached to each other.They did that to preserve space so they could farm.But the hoses of the rich people where very big and weren't close to each other's hoses.The houses also had stairs.
    In their daily life they had markets in the streets.The servants (only some) had to go and buy the things for their boos.They farmed a lot too.But a lot of things where done in the roof such as:cooking,sleeping,writing etc.

    The rich homes had about 10 rooms and the poor homes had one. A mixture of lime and water was used to whitewash the walls the richer homes. Some of richest homes had painted walls. The Egyptians homes were often blue or yellow with colour ceilings. Egyptians had painted borgers of ducks or lotus petals which is a type of flower. The poor had floors made of beaten earth. The floors of the rich were tiled.
    Some rich people had a room with an altar that was used for family worship of the friendlier gods and the bed was made of wood.

    The people in Ancient Egypt lived around the Nile river and the fertile land along its lanks. The year by flooding of the Nile river enriched the soil and brought good harvests and wealth to the land.

    The people of Ancient Egypt built mudbrick homes in villages and in the country they grew some of their own food and traded in the villages for the food and goods they could not produce.

    Most Ancient Egyptians worked as field hands, farmes, craftmen and scribe.

  15. The houses were made of: mud, strogh and white calcarium.The houses were together because the Egyptians needed space for farming.The Egyptians liked to decorate the houses.All the houses had a furnace and sometimes they slept on the roof and they had stairs.
    The daily activites were: fishing, eating, sleeping, getting mud, making pottery, making pyramids, making the houses, the sculptures, buy seeds and planting.

  16. The Egyptians houses were:made of mud,the color was usually beige and they had back and front doors.More than one family lived there.Only rich people had big houses,poor people had small houses and their houses ddint have a lot of furniture because they didnt have much wood.
    I know a lot about the daily life of the Egyptians.People made sculptures,scribes worked,people got food and water from the Nile River,the boys went to school and the girls cooked,took care of the babies,cleaned the house,fed the animals and helped the mothers.

Ancient Egypt homes were very big!Their houses were made of mud,brick and straw.Their houses had few furniture because they didn´t have much wood.They used their roofs to cook mainly.More than 1 family lived in only one house.The rich families lived in a big house but the poor people lived in a house of only one room.
    The daily life in Ancient Egypt was almost always about the Nile river,they took baths there,they got their food from there,they did almost everything there.There were also slaves,taking care of the houses and of the children.

    The daily life of ancient Egyptians:
    Men and women tended to marry quite young in ancient Egypt and every day life reflected their commitment to the sanctity of the family unit.Divorce was known to have existed but does not apear to have been that common.
    Children were every important component on life in Egypt and were considered to be a great blessing from the gods.
    Ancient Egyptian women had more legal rights then their "sisters" in ancient civilizations such as Greece. Egyptians womens had liberty to do a lot of things.

  20. Houses: Egyptian homes were made from bricks, of sun dried mud called adobe because wood was scarce. A nobleman´s home was divided into three areas, a reception area, a hall and the private quarters.

    Family life: the people of ancient Egypt highly valued family life. They tresured children and regarded them as a great blessing. In the lower class families, the mother raised the children.
